3 Healthy Tin Foil Dinners to Take With You on Your Next Fitness Adventure

Plan an Outdoor Fitness Adventure

With the weather warming up and summer creeping closer, you’re probably starting to plan out all of the things that you want to do this year. Long days lounging poolside, exotic trips, and fun family getaways are probably all on your wish list, but don’t forget to plan an outdoor fitness adventure.

Whether you rough it or decide to stick to “glamping” instead, an outdoor fitness adventure is the perfect getaway for you to enjoy the outdoors and get active too!

Outdoor Fitness Activities

Fitness is more than just looking good or having a great bod. While those are side effects of getting in shape, it’s also great how being fit allows you to do more things that can enrich your life. The outdoors offer a lot of these activities.

  • Hiking
  • Rock climbing
  • Biking
  • Canoeing
  • Kayaking
  • Swimming

Of course these fun activities are not only more enjoyable when you’re fit, they’re also a great way of staying fit! That’s what makes an outdoor fitness adventure so unique. You get to experience quality time with friends and family while doing fun things that double as exercise!

When planning your rustic getaway, pick a few of these outdoor activities to try out. Hiking for fitness is something you can do pretty much anywhere, no matter where you live.

Where to Go

You shouldn’t have to look too far in order to find a good place to go camping. The activities you’re interested in can also help you pick the perfect spot. If you want to spend your day doing laps in a lake, look online for a campsite with a lake approved for swimming nearby.

If you want to get a great workout with a hike, choose trails that are more advanced so that you can really work up a sweat and burn some serious calories. The steeper the terrain, the harder the hike and the more calories you’ll burn!

Keep in mind the fitness level of everyone that’s going. When you’ve got kiddos in tow you might not want to take on the most advanced hike out there. Getting active outdoors with your kids is a great way of passing on a lifelong love of fitness. Show them how fun fitness can be.

The Outdoor Fitness Adventure Meal Plan

Camping food can get pretty heavy sometimes: Burgers, hotdogs, s’mores, etc. But the last thing you want is to get weighed down by a big heavy meal. That’s why we’ve put together a few campfire favorites with a healthy twist.

These single serving tin foil dinners will keep you full of fuel instead of leaving you feeling weighed down. Prep them ahead of time and pack them in a cooler; that way you can just throw them in the fire when you’re ready to eat!
