Hey everyone, Kaytlin here! Are you ready for the cold and snow? This 15-second video will show you exercises you can do to heat your body up and stay warm this season!
Here are the exercises I run through in the video. You’ll need weighted plates for some of these exercises. You can also use dumbbells or kettlebells if you’d like! Do 12 reps each exercise, and go through all the movements for a total of 3 sets each:
- Side lunge (12 each leg)
- Narrow jump squats (12 jumps)
- One-legged squats (12 each leg)
- Walking lunges (12 each leg)
Be sure to use a weight that you are comfortable with and that will allow you to maintain great form throughout the exercises.
Here’s a tip: If the one-legged squats are hard, you can start off using a chair (or a box) to assist you. Squat down to the edge of the chair, and then rise back up to the starting position. Balance is key!
If these exercises feel too easy or you aren’t breaking a sweat, try adding more weight, limiting rest times or increasing the amount of reps for each exercise!
