1. Caitlin Peterson

No, there is no soy in IdealLean Protein.

      1. Chris

Are there corn products in any of the products?
I can’t have corn and it hides under many names (dextrose, maltodextrin, food starch, MSG, fructose, maltose, etc)

        1. Caitlin Peterson

Hi Chris, unfortunately we do have some corn in some of the products.

  1. Rita Lamberson

    Love the raspberry lemonade flavor👍💕☺

    1. Caitlin Peterson

Yay, I’m so glad! I love it too.

  2. Rita Lamberson

Are these good for Type 2 Diabetics?

    1. Caitlin Peterson

Hi Rita, if you have any concerns we recommend that you talk to your doctor before taking it. 🙂

  3. Karen

Which is best to use for weight loss and can I drink it for breakfast also how many times a day do I drink it for weight loss

    1. Caitlin Peterson

Hey Karen it depends on your calorie intake. If you are eating fewer calories than you burn you will be able to lose weight. So make sure that your calories are in the right range for you. Trainer Lindsey drinks her protein shake three times a day. You can definitely drink protein as part of a complete breakfast, but a shake on its own usually won’t be enough calories. 4. Rachel Grose

Is Ideal lean ok to drink as a supplement/snack mid day?
I had previously snacked on a mix of pretzels and almonds. I workout daily in the early evening. Should I use something different as a filler in between meals?

    1. Kirsten Jackson

IdealLean makes a great high-protein snack during the day. If I get a craving for something sweet I’ll whip up some Cake Batter IdealLean Protein, it’s my favorite!

        1. Caitlin Peterson

Hey Cathy, no IdealLean Protein doesn’t contain any soy!

  5. Julia

Can you use Ideal Shake and Ideal Lean at the same time?

    1. Kirsten Jackson

There are people that use both. I know some people that will use IdealShake for breakfast and/or lunch and then they’ll drink their IdealLean Protein pre- and post-workout. Just make sure that you’re staying within your calorie goals if you’re trying to lose weight.

  6. Sage

What type of folic acid is added? I have a genetic issue called MTHFR and I cannot metabolate standard folic acid. It has to be methyltetrahydrofolate for it not to cause more health issues. Estimates say that 20-40% of people actually have this underlying issue.

    1. Kirsten Jackson

I’ll ask our product manager and find out for you 🙂

    2. Jennifer

I have MTHFR, as well, but didn’t know that regular folic acid caused harm. I thought we just didn’t absorb it at all?

  7. cindy

I thought I was buying the correct stuff but I bought the ideal shake instead of the ideal lean. I am confused on why there are so many different but similar items.

    1. Kirsten Jackson

IdealShake is our weight loss brand while IdealLean is our performance brand. I apologize for any confusion. If you call in to customer they can help you make an exchange and get you the right products for you. Here’s our customer service number: (800) 515-0896.

      1. Kristin

I have been drinking IdealShake for more than 4 years now… I love it. I’m becoming increasingly interested in IdealLean though. How can I determine when I should make the switch from IdealShake to IdealLean? Do you recommend using both at the same time or choosing one or the other? I have been more active recently and intend to keep up with it, but, when life gets really busy, I do go through time periods where I just don’t make it to the gym as often I would like. I’d like to lose anywhere from about 8-14 pounds, but, mostly, I want to tone up.

        1. Kirsten Jackson

Awesome, with your goals it seems like now might be a good time to try out IdealFit! Have you heard of Trainer Lindsey’s 15 Day Fit Body Challenge? It’s a free fitness and nutrition challenge that’s perfect when you’re ready to launch into your fitness journey. It will teach you how to fuel your body to burn fat and get toned and helps you push yourself in your workouts.

  8. Claire

Can you drink the protein on days you don’t work out? That is, without the protein having a negative effect?

    1. Kirsten Jackson

Yes, definitely! Active women should get about 1g of protein per pound of body weight every day. Not just on days you workout.

  9. Melissa

Is this okay for men to have too? My fella is having a hard time finding a protein supplement he likes and I’m very interest in ordering this for myself. I’m wondering if this is specifically targeted at women or if it can also be unisex?

    1. Kirsten Jackson

It is safe for men to take. It has specific vitamins and minerals that women need/lack (like calcium, vitamin, and folic acid) but there isn’t anything crazy in it like hormones. My hubby loves the stuff!

  10. Laura

Hello, I was wondering if taking BCAAs and whey protein is a good idea or is it one or the other? Thanks!

    1. Kirsten Jackson

If you have specific medical concerns we recommend talking to your doctor. But, they are designed to complement each other. We suggest drinking IdealLean Protein pre- and post-workout and drinking IdealLean BCCAs during your workout.

  11. Deb

Probably a crazy question but as far as the scooper do I fill it to the top or to where I see a faint line going all the way around that is even with the handle? Thanks so much and enjoy your evening Deb

    1. Kirsten Jackson

The serving size is measured to the line. Another alternative is weighing it out.

  12. Debbie Guthrie

I am waiting for my order to come in Can’t wait to get started w the 15 day challenge. I have the packet down load also.

  13. Diane Hickey

Have you come up with another type of protein other than whey? I am not tolerating dairy. Thank you for responding.

    1. Kirsten Jackson

Because we use whey protein isolate in IdealLean Protein, our protein is safe for those that are lactose intolerant.

  14. Lori

Is it better to drink pre or post work out? Thanks Lori

    1. Kirsten Jackson

We recommend both! Drinking a protein shake before will help power your workout and drinking a protein shake after will help replenish your muscles to help you recover faster.

  15. Johna Pentecost

Are there any samples to taste these I am not usually a shake kinda gal & would love to see if I could drink it or which flavor I could like before spending a fortune

    1. Kirsten Jackson

We don’t have a sample size for this product, but I’ll pass the idea onto our product manager! We do have a 1 year money back guarantee though, so if you buy and decide you don’t like it, no problem! You have 1 year to return it for a refund.

      1. Jennifer

Is that true for your other products, as well? I do not care for the Watermelon flavored pre-workout. LOVE all of your other products, though!!

        1. Kirsten Jackson

We actually DO have samples for our IdealLean Protein now! Not yet though for our other products. I think that might be something we’re working on. I’ll definitely pass your feedback on to our product team.

          1. Matilde olivas

I want to order the protein shakes but no sure which one I will like can I get samples of it

          2. Kirsten Jackson

Yeah totally! You can get samples of all the flavors of protein (plus a few freebies!) if you visit this page: https:// idealfit-thg.eu-west-1.elasticbeanstalk.com/product/3-ideallean-protein-packs-bottle-protein-recipe-ebook-bundle-free-shipping/

        2. Sasha

I am not a big fan of flavored shake products as well, but the raspberry pre-workout supplement goes down pretty easily for me. ? I would recommend it

  16. Andrea

Hello, I really want to do the 15 day challenge (I need something to get me back on track after having 2 surgeries in the last 6 months). But is there anything I can us instead of the IdealLean protein? I can’t eat Sucralose I am allergic to it.
