    I just started the 12 week challenge and want to follow the nutritional guidelines, but I’m also a mother who’s nursing so I need a higher calorie count diet. I was wondering if you had any tricks to help me keep my calorie count up between 2500-3000 so my milk supply doesn’t drop.

      Hi Kailey! Are you following the Ideal Plan? If so, you can do the food amounts in that plan times 1.5. That will increase your calories in the right proportions. 🙂

    hey, So as many other women it’s a new year and new me in on the mind! I have since started weight watchers and going to the gym 4-5 times a week 2 days I work with a personal trainer. I know I need some type of protein to help, I heard great things about this protein, wondering how many times a day you take it, before or after work outs and do you really recommend the pre-workout? I know it’s sold out right now but just curious!

      Hey! I take it 2-3 times a day. I have it pre workout and post workout and sometimes before bed as well. 🙂 I LOVE our pre workout! It tastes amazing and makes me feel so good during my workout! Great energy!

    I have to do my workouts after I get home in the afternoons. How would my plan change? Protein shake, followed by pre-workout, then BCAA’s while I workout, protein shake following workout then dinner? Also, I’m curious, what benefits do you get from drinking a protein shake before bed?

      Yes you’re right! No matter when you lift you’ll want your protein powder pre and post workout and then pre workout supplement before you lift and BCAA’s during. Be careful taking the pre workout too close to bedtime though since there is caffeine in it. Also, protein powder is a great last meal of the day because it’s a low calorie protein source that your body can easily digest when you’re sleeping and it helps my night time sweet tooth!

    I’m just about to finish the 15 Day Challenge. I’m wondering how did you incorporate macros & micros in your meals to see the results I’m getting in your challenge! I love my results with only two days to go!!!

      Hi! I’m so glad you love it and are seeing great results! I have over 10 years experience in writing meal plans so I just used the knowledge that I’ve gained throughout my experience in setting the right macronutrients for each plan. It would be hard for me to explain all the how’s and why’s of everything I did here… I hope you understand!

        Hey im on day 9 of the 15 day Challenge and i feel really bloated i normally have a flat tummy but i feel like it is a little pudgy right now. I avoid the dairy since im lactose intolerat. Maybe the sodium in the buffalo chicken?? Help i feel discouraged.

          Hey Danielle! You should be drinking a ton of water so your body actually needs that sodium. If you don’t get enough sodium when you are drinking a gallon of water a day it can water down your electrolyte levels. If I were you I would give it a bit more time. It may be your body just getting used to the protein powder or the increased water intake! Try to stay strong and keep with it!!

    Hi 🙂 I started a new workout program that I really like. It incorporates weight, which I am really enjoying, but I am not losing weight. I have some fat to burn so my muscle come out 🙂 but Im not sure how much cardio to do or if I am eating enough calories.

      The 6 Week Fit Body Challenge is different from the 12 week challenge for a few reasons. The biggest difference is that the 6 Week Fit Body Challenge is a fitness challenge (for people who want to challenge themselves and take things to the next level) where the 12 week challenge is a weight loss challenge (for beginners who are just starting out).

      The 6 week challenge is a more advanced challenge and comes with 6 weeks of high intensity workouts. Also, the nutrition plan is designed to help you build muscle and burn fat and is overall more intense than the 12 week meal plan. There are 11 meal plans that come with the 6 week challenge and when you combine that with the complete substitution lists there are a lot more meal options and more opportunity for variety than the free 12 week challenge. In addition, the 6 week challenge comes with grocery lists to make meal planning and shopping simple and easy.

    is the pre workout safe to take if doing cardio?? ive heard only certain ones are safe to take if doing cardio, otherwise only use it for weight training…..

      Generally we do recommend Pre-Workout for weight lifting. The reason is that pre-workout helps you get your energy (and heart rate up) which is good and useful for weight lifting but not really something you need when doing cardio. I recommend talking to your doctor about specific medical concerns and starting with half a scoop in order to assess your tolerance level.

    I really don’t like to eat/drink any processed food. Is there an alternative to the shakes?

      Hi Megan, so in our shakes there are 20g of protein per serving, so as an alternative you would need to consume more protein into your diet. Lean meats, plain greek yogurt, cottage cheese, eggs, etc. are all high in protein.

    Starting your 15 Day Fit Challenge – even got the hubs to join me. We have been enjoying Idealshake for a month or so. I see in the nutrition plan for the Challenge you guide us to use Ideal Lean. Can we use the Idealshake since we have that supply? Would we use the same amounts?

      Hi Jennifer, because IdealShake is a Meal Replacement shake and IdealLean is a Protein Shake, you would not be able to use them interchangeably.     Hi Lindsay, I saw your 15-day fitness challenge. I’m wondering though if I’m able to do it as I broke my arm in November and don’t have full use of my left arm yet. Can’t get it up above my shoulder. Would that be a detriment in doing your challenge?
